Brandon, I think you may have defiled one of the sacred cows of the Church Hill "revitalizers" (although you did end up on a high note). Watch your back at Irish festival. From the very beginning, that coffee shop has tried to serve every bourgeois desire of the historic house set. Since the gentrification hasn't picked up pace quick enough for demand, J jumped into the boutique bistro biz. Bravo!
On a lighter note, I have rented on the Hill briefly and bought more than few of J's creme brulee muffins. The breakfast burritos were also a stand out (with their big avo slices). However, the 30 minute wait for this to-go item was always surprising way to start the day infuriated.
