Hot Toddy

Hottoddy_2

Has it reached you? Has the viral equivalent of a head full of empty shell casings made you wish you'd never seen the inside of an elementary school (or bank, or grocery store, or drugstore, or gas station . . . ) and all of its pernicious, persistent germs?  Only one thing will make you (meaning me) feel better--an effective and traditional hot toddy, elixir of the not-so-hot.

One Hot Toddy

  • 1 1/2 oz. bourbon of choice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2-3 teaspoons of lemon (about 1/4 of a lemon, squeezed)
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 whole clove (optional)

Mix well, and drink.  Repeat.

Yeah, sniffle. Me too. Et al.

Its noon somewhere, right?

Hope you feel better soon,

Janelle

A great version I had at Sticky Rice not too long ago had hot tea instead of hot water. I was surprised, but it was apparently very good since I had 3 or 4 of them. :)
